ONF/RHI issue call for Letters of Intent

Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation in partnership with Rick Hansen Institute has announced new funding opportunities in area of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) research focused on three key SCI health issues: urohealth, neuropathic pain and pressure ulcers.

Along with work already undertaken on pressure ulcer management, this research will build on the efforts that were the focus of 2016 neuropathic pain and urohealth summits. Note link to these items from the winter 2017 NeuroMatters.

The guidelines for submitting a Letter of Intent are available here. The applications must be submitted by July 1, 2018

Ontario budget allocates $6-million to support new post-collision Neurotrauma Care Pathways

With a $6-million commitment, the 2018 Ontario budget promises improved care for persons with sustained brain or spinal cord injuries resulting from a motor vehicle collision.

The Ontario government has allocated the funds to the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) and Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCI Ontario) to develop care pathways to better the health services and systems of care for those who experience spinal cord or traumatic brain injury following a collision.
