Dr. Cindy Gauthier is the recipient of the Rick and Amanda Hansen Fellowship, in Partnership with the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation and the Rick Hansen Institute. Her research will focus on the use of functional electrical stimulation to improve balance and hand/arm function in people with SCI.

The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) celebrates the third anniversary of Loop and the arrival of Loop Junior!
Embarking on its fourth year since launch in September 2015, Loop has been an instrumental resource for the Fall Prevention Community of Practice (CoP). The free digital and bilingual platform provides users with an interactive network and an array of services to strengthen fall prevention efforts.
Fall Prevention Month (FPM) is still a few months away; but our Prevention team and collaborators have been busy building toolkits and resources to ensure an impactful campaign for the fourth annual FPM. Throughout the month of November organizations and individuals are encouraged to join together in coordinating fall prevention initiatives to lower the rate of falls across the lifespan.
This post-doctoral fellowship will support the work of both the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF). ONF is the largest provincial funder of research, guideline development and implementation in the area of acquired brain injury (ABI).
The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) has released the 3rd Edition of the Guidelines for Concussion /mTBI and Persistent Symptoms for adults. The new interactive guidelines hosted on the Brain Injury Guidelines website features a fully searchable platform with upgraded evidence from the 2nd Edition.
