The ONF-funded ERABI (Evidence-Based Review of Moderate To Severe Acquired Brain Injury) Project Team will be revising their website as is looking for feedback from its users.
The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) has released the 3rd Edition of the Guidelines for Concussion /mTBI and Persistent Symptoms for adults. The new interactive guidelines hosted on the Brain Injury Guidelines website features a fully searchable platform with upgraded evidence from the 2nd Edition.
The Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation has released the new Concussion Handbook for patients and families. This user-friendly, booklet is derived from the evidence-based standards of post-concussion care.The handbook provides patients and families with the information they need to know, after experiencing a concussion. The handbook can be used as a guide for patients and families of any age to find the right care, at the right time, from the right provider.

Almost three years after a Coroner's report issued 49 recommendations, concussion safety legislation “Rowan’s Law” was passed March 6. It supports efforts to protect the health and well-being of amateur athletes by defining concussion guidelines surrounding school sports. “This is truly a landmark in Ontario legislation that will help to broaden the conversation around concussions and hopefully push the needle forward to advance the clinical guidelines and a standardized approach to care," says Kent Bassett-Spiers, Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation CEO and member of the Rowan's Law Expert Advisory Committee.
