Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation CEO Kent Bassett-Spiers, a member of the Rowan’s Law Expert Advisory Committee, was invited to the legislature to officially commemorate the first annual Rowan’s Law Day, September 26.
Rowan’s Law (Concussion Safety), 2018, was passed with all-party support in March 2018 and established an annual Rowan’s Law Day as an opportunity to commemorate Rowan Stringer and raise awareness about concussions and concussion safety.

Embarking on its fourth year since launch in September 2015, Loop has been an instrumental resource for the Fall Prevention Community of Practice (CoP). The free digital and bilingual platform provides users with an interactive network and an array of services to strengthen fall prevention efforts.

Fall Prevention Month (FPM) is still a few months away; but our Prevention team and collaborators have been busy building toolkits and resources to ensure an impactful campaign for the fourth annual FPM. Throughout the month of November organizations and individuals are encouraged to join together in coordinating fall prevention initiatives to lower the rate of falls across the lifespan.
This post-doctoral fellowship will support the work of both the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF). ONF is the largest provincial funder of research, guideline development and implementation in the area of acquired brain injury (ABI).
