The work of the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation may start with research but the next phase moves study results into practice. Known as knowledge mobilization, this is the process of translating research into informed practices to be implemented by clinicians and health care providers. This process simplifies access to research findings through the development of clinical practice guidelines, standards of care, toolkits and platforms that support evidence-informed knowledge sharing. Knowledge mobilization is an integral element of the ONF approach as the resources that emerge from this phase add great value to the work of clinicians, health care providers and the neurotrauma and prevention community.
